The District Conference and Assembly

The Rotaract District Conference and Assembly is an International Service event of the Rotaract Organization that is held annually in different locations across the globe at different times of the year and brings together young people aged 18 – 30 years to celebrate their achievements in Rotary and Rotaract and their diverse cultures. The D9200 Rotaract District Conference and Assembly brings together over 500 young people from 5 countries i.e. Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania which comprise Rotary International’s District 9200. The conference is held in rotation in cities in the 5 countries and in 2012, it is scheduled to be held in Nairobi, Kenya at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) and Goan Gymkhana concurrently from 19th to 21st April 2012.
Since the 1st Rotaract District 9200 Conference and Assembly in 1988, the human need to come together in fellowship and service has always seen this event grow successfully over the years in numbers and results.
The last event, the 23rd Rotaract District 9200 Conference and Assembly was held at the Speeke Resort Munyonyo, Uganda and it saw over 350 Rotaractors converge there.

That is ingenuity. That is the potential of a youth.

What are you doing with your ingenious self? How are you exploiting your potential?

Action Network for the Disabled (ANDY) is about Social Entrepreneurship. From sports development to entrepreneurship, mentorship, social development and job placement for persons with disabilities, ANDY is advancing the well being of Youth with Disabilities and it is amazing what an individual(s) with big hearts can do at such a young age.http://www.andy.or.ke/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=1

Meet Fredrick Ouko (a guest of the club yet to be inducted), the founder and Executive Director of ANDY as he tells us all about the milestones and achievements ANDY has made and how you can get involved in its work. I was taken aback with his simple short 5 minute presentation that summarized all that ANDY does! Its amazing.

Plan to be there.

What better way to mark the end of the third quarter than to celebrate our friendships together with our loved once? After all the hard work serving communities and all the professional development and motivational talks, the Club Service Director and incoming Vice President Lucy Wanjau did treat the club members and their loved ones to a starry evening at the Fiesta Restaurant, Chester House during the inaugural annual RCNC Date Night.

The chilled out night was filled with glitz, glam and pomp as we shared our love and laughter with dear friends, guests and fellow rotaractors who made every moment of the night much memorable.

We thank the good people from the East who turned out in their numbers and brought with them the East Effect that continues to be the envy of many a club and to the team from RCT Muthaiga together with guests and friends of RCNC who made the event a great success. 60 party animals we were. We meet again next year round about the same time same place.

And we thank our guy behind the click who made sure the moments remained on record.
